Renowned native woodland specialist Ted Cooke takes us on a tour of Castle Bernard demesne woods. Dating and identifying our native species, he will cover their significance in Irish folklore and the biodiversity they support. Bring a packed lunch.

Park at Castle Bernard Stables, just past the castle ruin.
Directions: Take Castle Road from town, first left after the Ramparts housing estate.
