The Art of Living Through the Generations – A Panel Discussion with three Irish Food Families & Supper Plate
In the context of celebrating 20 years of Urru, this conversation will feature three cross-generational, Irish food-business families: it will probe their life philosophies and how the family food business has influenced the next generation; there will be a particular emphasis on how the families see the evolution of Irish food over the past twenty years. The families featured are:
Peter Ward, Country Choice, and Eliza Ward, Nutshed, Co. Tipperary
Fallon Moore and Artie Clifford, Blas na hEireann Irish Food Awards, Co. Kerry
Eilis Mahon and Andy Mahon, Bandon Vale Cheese, Co. Cork
The panel discussion will be moderated by Barney Whelan – former Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at ESB and An Post, Vice Chair of The. National Gallery and Chair of the Cork Film Festival and The Everyman Theatre and graduate of UCC’s Irish Food Culture Postgraduate Diploma.
A showcase supper plate from our local producers will be served.
