Welcome to A Taste of Bandon
Taste of Bandon sends out a warm go raibh maith agat in gratitude to our sponsors. They have helped us reflect and reclaim our nature-inspired customs and celebrate all our communities. Summers End or Samhain, is a pivotal point in our traditional calendar. Chiming with an increased awareness of our food choices – from the Púcas Share to the Seanchaí, our sponsors have enabled us to celebrate all that is good about our community and the environment.
Our independent food retailers, restaurants, butchers and food markets are a healthy measure of strong towns, providing a community space and access to affordable and zero-air miles food. While the last 18 months has been a time of isolation, we are looking forward to a weekend where people can connect with those around them and the natural world – and see what nature can truly provide. From foraging to planting your own fruit trees, nature-inspired Halloween Mask art workshops and woodland walks we hope to see you all over the week ahead.
